IR-3000 series MoistTech near-infrared moisture measurement

The sensors can be used for determining product moisture online. Measured values can be displayed locally and, if desired, transmitted to the control system through various different interfaces, so that they are available for setting up control loops. Users benefit from significantly higher product qualities. The IR-3000 sensor can be calibrated for a wide range of products, and it can also be used for measuring coatings, oils and seasoning.

If required, BMA Automation can also integrate the sensor into existing control systems. A large number of IR-3000-series sensors are already operating successfully in factories in Germany and abroad. Special sensor and touch-panel versions for the food processing sector are available upon request.

The sensor can be operated both as a stand-alone unit and as part of a multi-sensor system.

Possible applications are:

Reliable measurement results also under difficult conditions

Grain
Dairy products (powdered milk, baby food)
Potato powder
Potato flakes
Potato crisps, snacks
Crystal sugar, beet pulp
Biscuits

Tobacco products

Paper (also coating)

Benefits of the MoistTech sensor:

  • Very high accuracy
  • No dependence on product level at a distance of 10 to 30 centimetres from the product
  • Non-contact measurements; therefore no abrasion, sensor not exposed to wear and tear
  • Easy to install, as various adapters are available for tanks, pipelines, etc.
  • Robust industrial design
  • Easy to calibrate
  • User-friendly software
  • No dependence on external light sources or other light effects; not affected by dust, temperature or moisture
  • Values can be displayed as moisture or dry substance content
  • Large, intensive quartz-halogen light source
  • Highly efficient optical system
